Modest Fashion
Most luxury labels treat modest fashion as a separate, simpler line. Couture does not. The modest pieces use the same denim, the same atelier, the same construction discipline as the symbol-driven streetwear. The difference is the cut, not the standard.
This page exists because the women buying Couture for modesty reasons are not looking for the same entry point as the women buying a Phoenix or a Hamsa piece. The decision starts with coverage and silhouette, not with the symbol.
The current modest line is small and growing. What is here now is built to the standard Couture is known for.
What modest fashion means here
The standards used across the Orthodox and Modern Orthodox communities are the reference. Hemlines that fall below the knee. Sleeves where the silhouette calls for them. Cuts that do not cling. The pieces are not modified versions of the streetwear pieces. They are designed from the start for the modest wearer.
Denim is the foundation material. It is structured, holds shape, and reads as serious rather than utility. The same denim used in the Meron and Jerusalem jacket line.

Banias Straight-Cut Denim Maxi Skirt
A structured straight-cut maxi skirt in Couture's signature pattern denim. Contrasting stitching, clean lines, deliberate weight. The hemline falls well below the knee. The silhouette stays structured rather than clinging. The skirt works as a daily piece for women who want a denim maxi that meets tznius standards without dressing down.

Several pieces outside the dedicated modest line also work for modest styling:
- The Haifa oversized T-shirt fit. The Lion, Hamsa, Phoenix, Star of David, and Horse T-shirts all offer the Haifa oversized cut. The silhouette is unstructured and reads modest. Pair with the Banias maxi for a complete modest outfit.
- The Kineret denim shirts. Long-sleeve denim shirts in the Lion, Hamsa, Phoenix, and Star of David editions. Work as outer layers over a base or as standalone pieces.
- The Meron and Jerusalem denim jackets. Layer over any base piece without modification. Add coverage at the shoulders and arms while carrying the symbol on the back panel.

The modest line is expanding
The Banias is the first dedicated modest piece. Denim midi dresses, longer-cut shirts, and modest-cut Hebrew letterform pieces are in production. Each piece is built to the same atelier standard, with the same denim and the same construction approach, designed from the start for the modest wearer rather than adapted from the streetwear cuts.
Questions and answers
What does Couture mean by modest fashion?
Coverage that meets tznius standards — below the knee, sleeves where applicable, no clinging cuts — combined with the same construction and design language used across the rest of the Couture line. The piece is not designed down. It is designed for the modest wearer.
Is the Banias skirt suitable for tznius standards?
Yes. The Banias is a denim maxi skirt with a straight cut. The hemline falls well below the knee. The silhouette is structured rather than clinging. It meets the standards used in Orthodox and Modern Orthodox communities.
Can the Couture T-shirts and shirts be styled modestly?
The Haifa oversized fit on the T-shirts gives an unstructured silhouette appropriate for modest styling. The denim shirts work as outer layers over a base. The denim jackets layer over any base piece without modification.
Is the modest line expanding?
Yes. The current line includes the Banias denim maxi skirt. Additional modest pieces — denim dresses, longer-cut shirts, and modest-cut Hebrew letterform pieces — are in production and join the line as they are released.
